Specific Need
Holy Family Montessori Co-op seeks essential classroom materials and targeted teacher training to cultivate a fully prepared Montessori environment that supports the intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of every child. To continue to improve educational outcomes for the children we serve, we seek to secure materials for the co-op, enhance our toddler environment, and provide professional development materials and training for our parent educators.Mission
Our mission is to operate a cooperative Montessori learning environment for families, rooted in Catholic values, where parents collaboratively guide their children's education using the Montessori method.Profile
Holy Family Montessori Co-op (HFM) was organized in 2013 when ten mothers created a co-op learning environment for their children using Dr. Maria Montessori's educational theory. To keep expenses at a minimum, HFM relied upon donated space to hold twice-weekly class sessions and house educational materials. In 2025, members strongly desired a permanent home for HFM. HFM applied for and became a member organization of The Atchison Community Foundation and, with help from donors, now serves fifty children in six unique learning environments!
