On Match Day, every gift goes further. Thanks to $150,000 in matching funds provided by generous sponsors and stewarded through the Atchison Foundation, your donation has an even greater impact on the organizations that make Atchison County a better place to live, work, and grow.

How Match Day Works:

$150,000 in matching funds is available for participating organizations.
Donations of $25 or more are eligible for a local match with 100% of your donation goes directly to the organization(s) you choose.
The more support an organization receives, the greater its % share of the matching funds.

How Funds are Matched

The $150,000 Match Pool is shared among participating organizations based on the percentage of total donations each organization receives during Match Day. Each organization’s share is calculated using this formula:

Organization’s % of total donations × $150,000 Match Pool = Matching Funds
(capped at $5,000)

To ensure matching funds benefit as many organizations as possible, each organization can receive a maximum of $5,000 in matching funds.

Example A: Organization receives less than the maximum match

Total raised by all organizations: $500,000
Fund A raised: $15,000 (3% of all donations)
Match Pool: $150,000

3% × $150,000 = $4,500

Fund A receives $4,500 in matching funds.

Example B: Organization reaches the maximum match

Total raised by all organizations: $500,000
Fund B raised: $50,000 (10% of all donations)
Match Pool: $150,000

10% × $150,000 = $15,000

Answer: Because matching funds are capped, Fund B receives the maximum match of $5,000.

One check may support multiple organizations by completing a donation form.
Email receipts are provided when an email address is included. Otherwise, a receipt will be mailed after the event.
If you can't attend, someone else may deliver your donation on your behalf.
Volunteers will be available to accept donations and assist with online giving.
Donations from participating organizations to their own funds are not eligible for matching funds.
