Specific Need
Funding for the Highland Community College Atchison Technical Center which offers16 technical programs, employs forty-four, has a $2 million payroll, $1 million operating budget, with $950 thousand in financial aid for 300 eligible students. The Atchison Technical Center is serving 560 students: 340 technical certificate candidates, 127 regional students, 20 adult education students, and 70 concurrent Atchison High School students. This represents a great deal of economic development to the Atchison community, in addition to educating a workforce who remain in the region.

Provide affordable education and skills training to students in the communities we serve. We recruit regionally and our highly skilled graduates remain regional growing the local economy.

Highland Community College is a comprehensive two-year college with an enrollment of 3,000 students offering associate's degrees as well as one- and two-year certificates in 16 trades.
