Goal: $150,000.00
Specific Need
Our brick church in Effingham was constructed in 1912. Early 2021 brought storms and damage to our tall bell tower and caused it to shift. Structural engineers were contacted and it was deemed unsafe to continue meeting in the church as the bricks had a possibility of collapsing into the building.
Our last worship service in the “old brick building” was September 5, 2021.
Our church and community have done a good job of raising needed funding to build a new church but we need help. The rising costs of materials and labor are a big factor. Our church family has met in our Educational Building for almost two years. It is working OK, however, we would love to have a sanctuary again. A design is in process and we are fine tuning for the best outcome while waiting on adequate funds to begin. We are thankful for all donations.
