Specific Need

HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. depends upon donations to help provide the discounts that the majority of our clients receive. These discounts help keep therapy affordable with rates that vary from $15 to $75 per session. HOPE Family Therapy provided over $107,000 in discounts last year to individuals and families that qualified for price reductions. The donations also help provide educational opportunites to student interns who are working towards their required practicum hours in order to become a future licensed mental health professional. Lastly, these help HOPE Family Therapy to attract quality clinicans by assisting them in acquiring continuing education and supervision that is requried by the State of Kansas.

Mission

HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. adopted a mission to provide affordable, quality, research-backed, collaborative mental healthcare to Atchison, KS and the surrounding communities. Hope Family Therapy, Inc.’s vision is to normalize mental healthcare and increase healthy relationships in families and across a multitude of diverse relationships.

Profile

HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. was founded in March 2018 after Eric and his family relocated to Atchison, KS. Once in Atchison, Eric was introduced to Atchison residents that were concerned about promoting quality mental health, and after discussions with supporters, HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. was formed. It is truly an organization that was created from public interest and supported by local families, businesses, and organizations.

HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. is a nonprofit, publicly funded organization that is also an educational and training facility. At HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. we strive to provide the highest quality of services to our clients while meeting the training needs of our graduate student interns. Student interns are mentored and supervised by licensed clinicians at HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. in addition to being supervised by the Clinical Faculty at their University or Training Program. HOPE Family Therapy, Inc. also has practicing clinicians who are licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.

Currently, HOPE Family Therapy staffing includes (2) full-time licensed clinicians, (1) half-time licensed clinician, (1) part time licensed clinician, (2) administrative interns from Benedictine College, and (3) full-time clinical interns. We are also excited because a recently graduated intern will be rejoining us as a licensed clinician this fall, an intern that graduates in September is planning on staying on as a licensed clinician, and we have another new intern starting the Tuesday following Labor Day in the fall.
