Specific Need
Last year, Arbors & Avenues joined the Atchison Foundation with a simple belief: beautiful places matter.
In our first year, community support helped us plant 20 trees throughout Atchison, beginning the work of restoring the tree canopy our community has lost to age, storms, disease, and pests.
Trees will always be at the heart of what we do. But our vision is bigger too: to use trees, thoughtful plantings, and partnerships to make Atchison’s streets, parks, and public spaces more beautiful.
More than a century ago, Atchison’s Zaremba E. Jackson said:
“I believe that every man should do something for the community in which he lives, besides getting a living out of it.”
With $10,000, imagine how much more we can plant, care for, and beautify.
